Here   we present the Buffalo and Pittsburgh Railroad, which,  together with  its sister road, Rochester and Southern, essentially put the Buffalo,Rochester  and Pittsburgh Railway  back on  the map. While the Pittsburgh Flyer  passenger  train of old is long gone, the spirit  of the BR&P is brought back to  life in both the B&P and the R&S railroads.

The Buffalo   and Pittsburgh Railroad began operation on the balance of the  former Buffalo,Rochester   and Pittsburgh Railway   between Buffalo,NY and  Butler,PA with trackage rights to New Castle, plus the Pennsyllvania branches previously operated by the B&O and BR&P. The railroad operates nearly 400 miles of railroad, including the Allegheny and Eastern Railroad recently acquired by G&W. Prime road power is a fleet of 7 EMD SD45s of Southern Pacific origin upgraded to Dash 2 standards and one SD40-2 in an  SD45 shell. These primarily handle  all the through   trains on the line.   Buffalo and Pittsburgh interchanges with other railroads at the  following locations:
